Medical Device Jobs: India’s Medical Device Industry set to grow
Medical News 02 Sep 2009Whilst the ongoing global recession continues to have a negative impact on organisations and industries across the globe, a new report by Global Data indicates that India’s medical device industry is expected to grow, even during these tough market conditions.
There are a number of factors that have been identified that will contribute towards the growth of India’s medical device industry including the increase in demand for improved healthcare services by the growing population and the new healthcare infrastructure being built by corporate hospital groups in response to this demand.
According to the Medical Device Network the industry is expected to grow by at least 12% annually for the next seven years. With a current value of $2.7bn, the market is forecast to reach approximately $6bn by 2015.
