Medical Devices: FDA to increase user fees for medical device companies
Medical News 02 Sep 2009According to the Federal Register the U.S Food and Drug Administration is increasing user fees for medical device companies. The standard fee for a premarket application has increased by 8.5% from $200,725 to £217,877.
The new fees will come in to force on October 1st 2009 at the start of the US financial year. In addition to this increase, organisations are also required to pay an additional registration fee of $2,008 if it is a Manufacturer, Single-Use Device Reprocessor or a Specification Developer.
