General Manager - Managing Director (heavy engineering)

Job Description

We are currently recruiting a General Manager/Managing director position on behalf of one of our leading heavy engineering clients based in South Yorkshire. The company is global company involved in the manufacturing of components in to the aerospace, automotive, oil and gas and nuclear industries.

The successful candidate will be autonomously responsible for the site including formulating the business strategy, taking full responsibility of the site P&L account and ensuring that the senior management are inspired to develop the right culture and systems. Targeted KPI’s will also be a key focus of this position.

The candidate will be from a similar background and previous experience in a senior management/general manager position in which they have had full site and P&L responsibility. They will also need to be operational focussed with a keen interest in improving efficiency within a rapidly growing and changing environment. Degree level qualification would be advantageous.

This would be an ideal role for an experience senior manager that wants to be responsible for an exciting and forward thinking global organisation.
