Job Description
A Global Manufacturer of Consumer Electronics is looking to add to their Supply Chain Function an experienced Head of Procurement to manage all direct spend globally including development and implementation of supplier strategy, supplier evaluation and on-going cost improvement. Based in West Yorkshire, the company has also established successful international operations in Australia, South Africa, North America and several European countries.
Reporting into the Director of Supply Chain and Operations responsibilities will include managing the commercial relationship of all suppliers globally including key component suppliers, developing a supplier strategy with the aim of building a supply chain which delivers best value for the business and meet customer requirements.
My client is looking for somebody who is Pro-active to develop suppliers and that can support project teams who are bringing new products to market via current or new suppliers.
I am keen to speak to people who have broad knowledge of a Supply Chain and who has previously lead a procurement or purchasing function. Ideally this experience will have been gained within an International consumer electronics manufacturing business. CIPS qualification would be advantageous.
