Job Description
Our client are a world leading tier 1 supplier of automotive components worldwide, supplying every major OEM, both in the UK and internationally. As a large multi-national they have a number of business divisions that have the design and manufacture capability to supply a range of components fulfilling a range of applications in modern vehicles.
Due to increased demand for new, energy saving and efficient applications within the industry they are now seeking to appoint a commercially and technically savvy Project Manager to drive NPD and NPI on time and to budget ensuring project milestones and phasegates are completed. Liaising extensively across the design teams, the project teams and the customer base you will be responsible for all aspects of the project including design and development, capital installations to manage volumes, the completion of APQP activity, RFQ activity and BOM materials sign off. Ideally you will have an engineering or relevant degree and previous project management experience. A recognised qualification in Project Management is not a pre-requisite but would be advantageous. A good understanding of precision machining would also be advantageous. You must possess strong communication and presentation skills and have the charisma and technical and commercial gravitas to influence highly skilled and technical teams and individuals.
