Job Description

The Company

Based in the South Yorkshire region, this is a great opportunity for a Quality professional to join a world class manufacturer supplying customers in the aerospace, nuclear, defence and power generation industries. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record in the Metals industry in a Quality Engineer/ Quality Management type role. 

The Role

Day to day the role will involve the interpretation of requirements from  aerospace, nuclear, petrochemical and engineering customers and then the development and maintenance of a programme to ensure compliance with relevant standards. Also the management of corrective & preventative action programmes to ensure timely and effective response to non-conformance; liaising with external regulatory authorities and other external parties on matters relating to the QMS.

As part of a clearly defined growth plan over the next ten years, the company wish to appoint an energetic professional to develop and implement quality management strategy and plans. You will be responsible for contributing to the formulation of policy and strategy, lead and monitor quality initiatives as well as monitor the application and maintenance of standards. 

The Candidate

We are looking for an individual with a strong metals background and a demonstrable track record of managing the QMS of a company. Knowledge and application of improvement tools and techniques such as RCCA, problem solving, error proofing, RAA etc would be highly beneficial.
