Job Description
The Job: Sales Engineer
We are looking for an innovative, customer focused and commercially astute Sales Engineer to help our client achieve ambitious plans for growth. You will seek out and develop long-lasting relationships with customers (including multinational blue chip clients who require special purpose machinery to provide automated production solutions.

Operating across a range of production and process industry sectors including FMCG, Food, Automotive, Medical, Warehousing, Logistics and Pharmaceuticals, the company has an excellent reputation for its ability to deliver innovative solutions and bespoke production machinery of the highest quality.
The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a talented Sales Engineer. You will apply your experience of engineering, manufacturing and/or process industries to propose and deliver automation solutions. Key responsibilities include:
• Effectively communicating and liaising with customers in a wide range of industries.
• Develop long-term relationships through an in-depth understanding of customer requirements.
• Creatively arrive at practical machinery and automation solutions.
• Manage the preparation of successful high-value proposals and estimates for complete automated machines and their commissioning.
Candidate Requirements:
With relevant qualifications and a sound Engineering or Manufacturing background, you will demonstrate the ability to seek out and win profitable business with customers in a wide range of industries. You will help conceptualise and deliver bespoke automated production solutions. Your profile will also display the following attributes:
• A good understanding of engineering or manufacturing principles.
• Have relevant engineering or manufacturing qualifications (apprenticeship or HNC minimum requirement).
• Show strong communication skills at all levels up to director level.
• Be capable of identifying and maximising sales and business development opportunities.
• Display a clear understanding of automated machinery principles developed from a previous sales, design engineering, production, planning or project management role.
• A track record of market development and growing business.
• Strong presentation and networking skills.
• Ability to manage differing / conflicting priorities.
