Job Description
We are working with a Global energy services company who provide a wide range of Engineering, Production and Maintenance services to global Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries.
The Role
The Controls Engineer will provide technical and fault-finding support to field service representatives, Customer Support Managers and customers.
In addition to the above you will also;
• Provide technical support to Customer Support Managers during the review and approve process originating from field service feedback
• Focus on Continuous Improvement of processes and systems
• Observe and enforce Company rules and regulations and comply with Company safety, quality and management systems
• Liaise with Customer Support Managers to ensure all customer documentation is up to date
• Work with Turbine Systems Solutions for development of Control retrofit solutions
• Be involved with installation and commissioning of TSS Products and also Gas Turbine packages (Siemens and Solar)
• Be responsible for Controls issues on turbine packages
The Person
Due to the nature of the service provided, product knowledge of gas turbines and gas turbine control systems past and present is essential;
• Detailed knowledge of P&IDs, Control Schematics and Gas Turbine working essential including DLE/SoLoNox
• Detailed Knowledge of OEM control systems including RP2, Allen Bradley PLC5/40 and CL5000, Siemens S7. Also detailed knowledge of turbine systems
• Must be computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, technical programmes.)
You will be able to interpret technical drawings and be at NVQ/SVQ/NC level (or equivalent). To perform this role you must have UKOOA Medical and Basic Offshore Survival Training Certificate.
Due to the customer service focus and the need to report accurately you will have excellent report writing skills and be computer literate.
