Job Description
We are working with a Global energy services company who provide a wide range of Engineering, Production and Maintenance services to global Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries.
The Role
The purpose of this position is to perform various machining operations on multiple Gas Turbine component parts.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Machining of various component parts ensuring that route cards are followed and all necessary details recorded
• Carry out dimensional and visual inspection in accordance with internal documents
• Determine reparability of components
• Using various types of machines such as Lathes, milling machines, surface grinders and Electro Discharge Machines (EDM) as required
• Ensure that all components are handled and transported in a safe manner
• Ensure that work area adheres to site HSE requirements
The Person
The successful candidate will have Mechanical engineering experience, preferably from a Gas Turbine background or similar environment. Ideally, alongside Qualification to NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering you will have demonstrable experience operating electrical and hydraulic testing equipment.
