Manufacturing and Engineering Jobs: Job placements increase for two consecutive months - Dudley Child Executive Recruitment

A monthly report produced by Markit Economics for KPMG and the Recruitment and Employment Federation indicated that the seasonally adjusted index measuring permanent staff placements rose to 51.3 from 50.6 in August, following a continuous decline over the previous 16 consecutive months. Bernard Brown, head of business services at KPMG stated that "This provides further evidence that the bottom of the economic cycle has been reached.”

Certain industries have seen larger increases in permanent placements than others for example, in September there was a significant rise in demand for staff in nursing and medical care and the accounting and financial industries (WSJ.com).
