The day to day responsibilities of the roles will include; Surveillance/Depletion planning, integration of reservoir engineering into drilling/facilities/subsea/completions activities, performance prediction and engineering support for future well development including uncertainty evaluation, field and ultimate reserve recovery predictions and reservoir simulations. You will be expected to work closely with Geoscientists and other RE’s in the subsurface team.
Piping Engineers
As Piping Engineer, you will have the opportunity to manage technically biased asset changes whilst maintaining due diligence to ensure a high degree of integrity. You will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. The role will focus on the review and development of completion, commissioning and operating procedures for facilities. You will also assess all safety, economic and technical issues as well as the preparation of engineering analyses.
Geophysicists / Geologists:
There is a requirement for Junior and Senior Geophysicists responsible for both exploration and development activities. Your remit on joining will be varied and challenging, however, as you develop into the position the opportunity to expand your remit and bring in junior staff will arise. To be a success in this role you will need a broad and varied skill set including strong skills in seismic interpretation.
Drilling Engineers:
The company has numerous drilling operations, including deepwater, for the near future. This could either be at planning stage or at execution stage in exploration, appraisal and development wells, in areas around the world where the company currently have licenses. The work will also entail support in risk assessments and cost estimating, as well as assisting other departments in technical drilling issues. Keeping abreast of emerging new technologies and bringing them forth for possible incorporation into well design and operations is also a key component of this job.
For all of these roles, you will need to display a proven track record in your chosen discipline, degree educated within a technical discipline and have the ability to lead and develop those around you. Being a team player is of upmost importance for these appointments but the long term rewards through succession planning are significant. |
