ROV Pilot, ROV Technician Jobs: General Robotics opens Assessment Centre in Aberdeen - Dudley Child Executive Recruitment

According to General Robotics it is extremely difficult to carry out objective assessments to consistent standards for inexperienced applicants for ROV Pilot/Technician training before they go offshore.  That is why General Robotics have opened an ROV pilot support and assessment centre in order to help both individual pilots and ROV operators extend and evaluate piloting skills.

A regular problem that has been identified is the lack of opportunity for trainee pilots to get hands-on experience.  Due to this both ROV pilots and trainers have developed Assessment Metrics software in order to effectively assess pilot’s performance and key competencies.
Assessment Centres can be utilised for many different purposes including training and development, employment promotions or for final stage assessments before a job offer is made.
